As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will help maintain and operate our facilities, offering new ideas to improve how we work. You will use your technical skills to ensure we meet important standards and help improve our infrastructure, especially in areas like cooling and electrical systems.
Description
Critical Facilities Technicians are responsible for maintaining systems like cooling and electrical, which are crucial for high-risk and high-reliability environments.
Responsibilities
Regularly inspect and monitor critical equipment to fix any problems.
Complete tasks on time without interrupting the business.
Follow set procedures for assigned tasks.
Work with different teams and vendors to meet goals.
Follow all safety regulations for operations.
Wear proper safety equipment, such as ARC Flash suits or coveralls, when needed.
Note: Technicians work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required depending on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with mechanical, electrical, or fire safety systems.
Ability to read and understand system drawings for fire, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand, bend, and climb ladders regularly.
Ability to work in a Data Center with temperatures ranging from 60°F to 110°F while following work safety cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of experience in a critical environment.
Ability to perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
Knowledge of large-scale electrical and mechanical systems, plus safety regulations for data centers.
Understanding of safety procedures and equipment.
Good at building relationships and collaborating with others.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
