CHIVALRY is the biggest independent owner of music venues in Southern California. They have some of the most important cultural venues in California that are owned and run independently. In Los Angeles, CHIVALRY operates and takes care of three venues: Catch One, El Cid, and Don Quixote. These venues have deep ties to the city’s history. Under the leadership of owner Mitch Edelson, these iconic spaces continue to thrive, hosting a wide range of artists, genres, cultures, and fans.
The Position

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will lead and manage social media and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) marketing campaigns to promote events and sell tickets for Catch One & Don Quixote. This role involves running social media accounts (Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, Twitter) for both venues and creating content. Additionally, the role includes managing each venue’s CRM platform and sending out weekly email and SMS marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate should also be good with numbers, focusing on maximizing return on investment (ROI) and engagement on the venues’ digital platforms. This position reports to CHIVALRY’s Marketing Director and requires full-time hours (40 hours per week) at the office.
Specific Responsibilities
- Create and manage a social media content calendar for Catch One & Don Quixote to promote events and announce new shows weekly.
- Work with external promoters to schedule event promotions on venue social media channels and through email marketing.
- Produce interesting content (TikTok & Instagram Reels) that boosts brand awareness for each venue, showcases the venue experience, and promotes events.
- Run weekly email and SMS marketing campaigns and maintain Catch One’s customer database.
- Attend key events at Catch One to capture content when needed.
- Assist in planning and running unique events and parties at Catch One.
- Handle administrative tasks like updating each venue’s website calendar and answering customer inquiries on social media direct messages (DMS).
Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience successfully running social media and/or email marketing campaigns.
- Experience creating content for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Understanding and passion for the artists, communities, and music genres that Catch One serves.
- Proficiency in various business tools including social media and graphic design platforms like Hootsuite, Hive, Canva, Photoshop, Microsoft
- Office, and G-Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative, flexibility, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
Compensation
This role pays between $20 to $25 per hour based on the final hire’s relevant skills, knowledge, abilities, education, and experience.
