Qualifications

  • Project-based Learning: It’s important to use hands-on projects to make students curious and eager to learn.

Additional School Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in education.
  • Certification: A valid Florida Educator Certification.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience in Elementary School (preferred).
  • IB PYP Knowledge: Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme is preferred.
  • Reliability: A proven track record of being dependable in previous jobs.
  • Technology Skills: Ability to adapt to and use new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher: Your job is to create fun and interesting learning opportunities that follow the philosophy and mission of the International Baccalaureate (IB).
  • Curriculum Implementation: Develop and teach a curriculum that focuses on educating the whole student, especially using the Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning.

Job Description

Creation Village World School is looking for a First Grade PYP teacher.

As a PYP teacher, your main role is to create enjoyable and engaging educational experiences based on the IB philosophy and mission. You will need to design and teach lessons that help develop the whole student, with a special focus on the Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning. Hands-on, project-based learning is essential to inspire student curiosity and achievement. Additionally, you should build strong relationships with students and parents and become an active part of the Creation Village community.
