Position: General Manager (GM) – Garments Division

Job Context:
AKH Knitting & Dyeing Ltd. (AKDL), a prominent name in the textile industry and a subsidiary of AKH Group, operates as a 100% Export Oriented Knit Composite Factory situated in Hemayetpur, Savar. In line with our expansion plans, we are seeking an adept and seasoned General Manager (GM) to spearhead our Garments Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall operations and administration of the Garments Unit.
- Ensure production aligns with the predetermined plan while upholding quality standards.
- Strive for optimal capacity utilization and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate activities to facilitate smooth production, achieve final inspection clearance, and ensure timely shipments.
- Liaise with relevant departments to streamline Garments manufacturing processes, including planning, coordination, and control.
- Monitor daily production progress across all lines, ensuring targets are met.
- Develop training plans to enhance employee skills and motivation, addressing identified training needs.
- Ensure availability of necessary resources (human, material, and equipment) for seamless operations.
- Uphold compliance with legal, regulatory, and administrative protocols.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university; preference for graduates in Textile Engineering.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience.
- Experience in Manufacturing (FMCG), Clearing and Forwarding (C and F) Companies, Garments, Textile, Buying House, Group of Companies, Garments Accessories, or Dyeing Factory.
- Minimum 2-3 years in a leadership role as Head of Garments Division in a reputed export-oriented Knit Composite Garments Factory.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills with a knack for team management, problem-solving, and multitasking.
- In-depth knowledge of fabric and garments manufacturing/production processes.
- Ability to mentor and motivate team members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bangla.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with ERP/Software-based manufacturing processes.
