Lead the National Medical Library for the UAEU College of Medicine & Health Sciences within the UAEU Libraries network. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, staffing, supplier negotiations, and collaborations with other institutions. Develop and implement plans for resource acquisition, faculty development, and curriculum enhancement. Participate in the UAEU Libraries Management team to enhance library use and value. Serve as an ex officio member of the College Council and Library & Learning Resources Committee. Maintain communication with the Assistant Dean for Medical Education and faculty. Report achievements supporting UAEU’s strategic agenda to the Director of Libraries. Supervise library staff and cultivate partnerships with industry, government, and the community.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an accredited institution. Background or specialization in health sciences librarianship is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in MLIS or related field. Additional qualifications in medical librarianship, health informatics, or relevant healthcare field are desirable.

Expected Skills: 6+ years’ experience in libraries, museums, or galleries, including 3+ years in leadership roles. Proven experience in strategic programming. Ability to manage diverse staff and public services. Experience in event management is desirable.
