We pride ourselves on our high standards of quality and safety, and we are looking for a Labourer to help support the smooth running of our workshop operations. Role Overview:
As a Labourer in our engineering workshop, you will assist with a variety of tasks that keep the workshop running smoothly. You’ll be handling materials, operating forklifts, and supporting the team in various day-to-day activities. This is a hands-on, physical role, and no prior experience in an engineering workshop is required – just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the movement of materials, equipment, and tools around the workshop.
Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move heavy items as required.
Keep the workshop organized, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently.
Assist engineers and technicians with basic tasks, such as preparation and assembly.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning machinery and tools.
Ensure the workshop area is clean, tidy, and adheres to health and safety standards.
Provide general support to the team in completing workshop projects.
Essential Requirements:
Clean Driving Licence
Experience operating forklifts (valid forklift licence essential).
Ability to perform physical tasks and work in a hands-on environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience working in a manual labour or physical role (such as construction, warehousing, or logistics).
Interest in engineering or manufacturing (although not required, enthusiasm is a bonus!).
Ability to use basic hand tools or power tools (training will be provided).
