Job Description:

Qualifications:

1. Completion of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent examination administered by the State Board of Education or government-recognized institutions.
2. Possession of a Certificate in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an accredited institution.
3. Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with library in-house operations.
4. Candidates holding a Certificate in Library and Information Science at the graduate level will be given preference.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of two years of work experience in a university, college, or academic library, involving:

1. Processing books, including stamping, barcoding, and generating spine labels.
2. Application of barcodes and preparation of book cards, as well as managing the issue and return of books.
3. Organizing and maintaining the library collection, including shelving books, periodicals, newspapers, and other reading materials.
4. Providing support for all library activities to ensure efficient operations.
5. Managing files and operating photocopy machines.
6. Assisting library users with their queries and needs.
7. Being available for shift and holiday duties as assigned.
