As a Service Engineer within the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area of the Service & Digital Platform Division in Dhaka, Bangladesh, you’ll play a crucial role. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll oversee all service and sales requirements for ABB Robotics customers in Bangladesh, ensuring their satisfaction and supporting the growth of the Robotics business in the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing emergency repairs of ABB Robotic system equipment in the field and providing system integration support to designated build shops and end-users.
• Handling all service-related activities, including telephone support, site visits, AMC and preventive maintenance support, and driving service business.
• Providing robot-specific or systems training to customers and possessing knowledge of PLC communications and other robotic peripheral equipment.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and effectively communicating in high-pressure situations.
• Proactively supporting customer needs and seeking out additional work opportunities during lean periods.
• Identifying and pursuing sales leads for additional robotic and system opportunities, maintaining records of work location and status, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Your background ideally includes:

• A degree in BE/B Tech.
• 8 to 12 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in robotics customer service and preferably experience in robotics sales.
• Strong independence and expertise in robotics applications, mechanical and electrical software and hardware.
• Willingness to adapt to new technological changes, with experience in Robot Studio, ABB Robot, and knowledge of SAP and SFDC considered advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle the rigors of air travel and other forms of travel, including short notices, odd hours, and weekends.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Bangladesh for service and sales, with travel time exceeding 70%.
