Job Responsibilities
As a Material Handler, your tasks will include:
- Handling materials: packaging, labeling, and confirming part identities.
- Preparing items for shipment: packing materials, checking inventory, and moving items to correct locations.
- Operating equipment: using various motorized and hand-powered tools, packaging equipment, and scales.
- Following instructions: working from work orders and other written or verbal directions.
- Record keeping: maintaining shipping, receiving, and unloading records.
- Performing other tasks as needed, which may involve working in different departments or systems.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: At least 12 months of experience in warehouse or material handling.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with Reach Trucks, Cherry Pickers/Order Pickers, and tow tuggers. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, DLX, WMS, and SAP is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Use of arithmetic, reading, writing, and measuring tools.
- Skills: Good interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
- Availability: Able to work the shift from 6:00am – 2:30pm, including overtime and Saturdays as needed. Must be able to work additional hours as required by warehouse demand, up to and including Sundays.
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Sponsorship
- Eligibility: Only U.S. work-authorized individuals can apply. Future visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $19.50. Salary is based on experience, job complexity, and location.
