The Farm Sales Associate will play a vital role in representing the farm’s brand, assisting customers, managing on-site and market sales, and supporting the farm’s retail and marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist customers at the farm store and local farmers’ markets
Handle product inquiries, recommend produce, and ensure customer satisfaction
Manage sales transactions, inventory, and cash register operations
Set up product displays and maintain cleanliness in the sales area
Assist in packaging, labeling, and stocking farm produce
Support online sales, phone orders, and delivery coordination
Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and sales trends.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in sales, retail, or customer service is an advantage
Basic knowledge of farm produce, organic food, or local agriculture preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, energetic, and able to work in a team environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons
Bilingual (English and French) communication is an asset
