Senior Manager

A well established plumbing company in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg is looking for a senior manager to help grow the business and run the business after a period of time. This company specialises in residential plumbing maintenance and occasional industrial plumbing.

After a standard notice period a partnership with share opportunities will be considered. The aim of this appointment is to manage an existing company, maintain high standards, improve cash flow, gain new clients, and expand. The position rewards a salary, with profit share on successful improvement of cashflow.

Requirements:

Qualified Plumber (Red Seal) Plumber (5-10 years experience)
Management Experience (5-10 years)
Proven track record of excellent service, managerial expertise, and revenue improvement.
Ensuring all staff policies are followed and be able to manage conflict resolution according SA laws.
Ensure a high standard of work of themselves and all employees, including adherence to Government, and SANBS/ISO standards.
Continuous education of staff of new trends, standards, or news related to the plumbing and water industry
 Skills:

Quoting, Invoicing, and troubleshooting plumbing and related installations. Technical plumbing knowledge
Experience with all maintenance plumbing, water backup tanks, pumps, and filters, solar and heat-pump water heating. Other industrial experience is a plus.
Experience with growing and expanding the company/revenue
Good people and leadership skills, as well as honesty and integrity
 

Optional nice-to-haves:

Experience with basic book keeping, administration, tax and payroll (should be able to see obvious fraudulent activity i.e. ghost staff, ghost suppliers, duplicate payments and reversals to non-existent clients, etc.)
Training will be provided as needed for these additional skills.
