JOB SUMMARY

Tolerance Masters LLC is a precision CNC machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN.  We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machined parts and sub-assemblies.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Saw Operator/Shop Hand.  This dual-role position involves operating saws to cut materials to precise specifications and performing general shop duties to maintain an efficient and organized workspace.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in supporting high-precision machining for the aerospace industry.

HOURS

Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

DUTIES

  • Operate and maintain saw equipment, ensuring cuts meet specified tolerances and quality standards
  • Interpret technical drawings and job orders to determine cutting requirements
  • Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality assurance
  • Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment and tools
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and machine safeguards
  • Assist machinists and other shop personnel with material handling, tool setup, and general production support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, waste removal, and tool organization
  • Monitor and restock inventory of raw materials, tools, and consumables
  • Load and unload deliveries and shipments, ensuring proper documentation and storage
  • Support other tasks as assigned by the Shop Manager or Lead Machinist

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Basic understanding of shop tools and equipment, including saws, grinders, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to adhere strictly to them
  • Forklift certification is a plus
