Job Summary:

Sawhney Buildwell LLP is looking for an experienced and energetic Senior HR Manager to oversee our HR function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry and be skilled in managing a diverse workforce, including both skilled and unskilled labor. The Senior HR Manager will develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals, ensure compliance with labor laws, and create a positive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy and Policy Development:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company’s business objectives.
    • Lead company restructuring and hierarchy setup to ensure efficient operations and growth.
    • Oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management:
    • Lead recruitment efforts to acquire skilled labor and management staff.
    • Develop talent development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Employee Relations and Compliance:
    • Manage employee relations, resolve conflicts, and address grievances to maintain a positive work environment.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Training and Development:
    • Design and implement training programs to improve employee skills, safety practices, and productivity.
    • Identify training needs and organize workshops and seminars.
  • Compensation and Benefits Management:
    • Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent.
    • Ensure compensation structures are competitive and compliant with industry standards.
  • Health, Safety, and Welfare:
    • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
    • Implement health and wellness programs to support employee well-being.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting:
    • Use HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and make data-driven decisions.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on HR activities to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience in the construction or labor-intensive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices in the construction sector.
  • Proven experience managing a large workforce, including skilled and unskilled labor.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
