Senior WordPress Developer & SEO Migration Architect for 400+ Page Law Firm Site

Project Overview

I own a Virginia law firm website (cpollardlaw.com) with 400+ pages of high-value legal content and strong topical authority.

Following a recent Google core update, I am performing a complete WordPress rebuild and SEO-safe migration that includes:

• New information architecture (hub-and-spoke silos)
• Hundreds of URL changes
• Theme implementation from Figma designs
• Hosting migration to a high-performance environment
• Redirect, schema, internal linking, and performance strategy

This is a high-stakes project where architecture, development, SEO migration, UX, and performance must work together.

However, I am not tethered to any of it.

A critical part of this engagement is for you to:

• Review the proposed architecture
• Review the URL structure and redirect plan
• Review the Figma design and UX flow
• Identify risks, problems, or better approaches
• Confirm what should stay and what should change before development begins

I am looking for an expert partner to validate and improve this plan before execution.

Scope of Work

1. Architecture & Migration Validation

• Validate sitemap, silos, URL strategy, and redirects
• Identify cannibalization, orphan risks, and link equity issues
• Revise plan as needed before development

2. WordPress Theme Build

• Implement or improve upon Figma designs in a lightweight WordPress theme
• Gutenberg or lightweight builder
• Conversion-focused layout with integrated contact forms
• Mobile-first, responsive design

3. Hosting & Performance

• Migrate from HostGator to Kinsta, Rocket.net, or WP Engine
• Achieve excellent Core Web Vitals and load speeds
• Proper caching, image optimization, and asset loading

4. SEO Migration Execution

• Implement 301 redirects from spreadsheet (no chains or loops)
• Preserve crawl paths and internal link equity
• Validate canonicals, breadcrumbs, and internal links

5. Schema & Technical SEO

Hand-implemented schema for:

• Attorney
• LegalService
• LocalBusiness
• FAQPage
• BreadcrumbList
• Organization relationships

6. Integrations

• Weglot or similar translation tool
• AI chatbot (Tidio, Chatbase, or your recommendation)
