We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our healthcare administration team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining accurate patient and clinical data in our systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy and data protection standards.
This position requires precision, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to supporting healthcare operations efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
Enter and update patient information, billing data, and medical records accurately in databases and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Verify and cross-check data for completeness and accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information in compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Collaborate with administrative and medical staff to ensure data integrity.
Generate reports or summaries as requested by supervisors or healthcare managers.
Required Skills: Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 40–50 WPM preferred) Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) Familiarity with healthcare data systems or EHR software (e.g., Epic, Meditech, Cerner – preferred) Understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare documentation Knowledge of data privacy laws such as GDPR or HIPAA

Educational Qualification: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., Secondary School Certificate) Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Medical Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field Additional Certifications (a plus): Certification in Medical Data Entry, Health Information Technology (HIT), or Medical Billing & Coding Training in Data Privacy / GDPR / HIPAA compliance
