Job Opportunity: Head of Programme at Conseil Régional de Diffa

Position Overview: Conseil Régional de Diffa is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Programme in the field of Sociologie du Développement. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to regional development initiatives in Diffa, Niger.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for the Sociologie du Développement programme aligned with regional objectives.
  • Programme Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programme activities to ensure alignment with goals and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to enhance programme effectiveness.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage programme budgets efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve programme outcomes.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish monitoring frameworks to track programme progress and impact, and use data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and professional development.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on programme activities, outcomes, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Sociology, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in programme management, ideally within the context of development projects or regional governance.
  • Strong understanding of Sociologie du Développement principles and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in French and working knowledge of English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Monthly salary of 200,000 Francs CFA, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
