POSITION SUMMARY:
Tolerance Masters, Inc is a precision machine shop located in Circle Pines, MN. We specialize in the manufacturing of close tolerance flight safety and critical performance machines parts and sub-assemblies.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for performing inspections, conducting tests, maintaining records, and ensuring that all products meet internal and external quality standards, including AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
HOURS
Monday-Thursday: 6:00AM-4:30PM
Friday: Opportunity for overtime
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect in-process and finished aerospace components using a variety of tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, etc.)
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9100 standards
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective preventative actions for nonconforming products
- Review manufacturing documentation for compliance with quality requirements
- Maintain accurate inspection records, test data, and nonconformance reports
- Support internal and external audits, including AS9100 audits and customer quality visits
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
- Monitor and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection within aerospace of precision machining
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and FAA regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with measurement tools and techniques
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and blueprints
- Working knowledge of quality management systems and software
SKILLS
- Associate’s degree or technical certification
- Familiarity with CNC machinery, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with CMM programming and use (Zeiss/Calypso)
- DSQR certified, experience performing required duties and sign-off
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment; moderate to high levels of dirt, noise, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, fumes, chemicals/solvents, and electrical hazards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc. is to be worn as applicable throughout the entire shift.
