We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Sushi Prep Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of fresh, high-quality sushi ingredients and ensure a clean, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for sushi and other Japanese dishes (e.g. slicing fish, preparing rice, chopping vegetables)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep area
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed
Assist head sushi chef with mise en place and plating as needed
Monitor inventory and notify supervisor when supplies are low
Requirements:
Previous experience in sushi preparation or a kitchen environment preferred (but not required)
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
Willingness to learn and grow within the role
