Access Bank Zambia is looking to hire dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to join us as Branch Managers (20 positions) in our Retail and Digital Banking Department nationwide.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Regional Branch Manager, successful candidates will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Participate in developing strategy and collaborate closely with management to translate strategy into actionable objectives.
• Translate branch strategy into targets for Relationship Officers.
• Share strategy with Head of Retail Banking for approval.
• Identify opportunities to attract new business.
• Develop, implement, and monitor sales plans, including conducting daily sales meetings.
• Follow up to schedule appointments with customers.
• Maintain oversight of generated call reports.
• Create, communicate, implement, and monitor sales strategies for walk-in customers.

• Capability to lead and manage a team towards achieving goals.
• Proficiency in conflict management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Highly analytical with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, efficient, and able to work under deadlines.

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledge of retail banking products, sales processes, and banking operations.
• Proficiency in Accounting, Risk Management, and full MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation such as Labour law.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• University Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail banking, with significant exposure to sales and client management, along with a proven record of team leadership.
