Job Description

As a Kids Wear Apparel Manager at Firstcry, you will play a crucial role in shaping our kids wear apparel segment. Your responsibilities will include conducting market analysis, managing supplier relationships, selecting products, ensuring quality control, optimizing costs, and overseeing inventory management. Your role is key to delivering high-quality, competitively priced products that align with our brand and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings in the kids wear apparel segment. Use this data to inform product selection and strategy.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate terms and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. Address any issues that arise in the supply chain.
  • Product Selection: Collaborate with design teams to choose kids wear apparel items that reflect the company’s brand image and meet customer expectations. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into product offerings.
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all products meet high standards. Address quality issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Cost Optimization: Work on optimizing product costs without sacrificing quality. Ensure that Firstcry’s offerings remain competitively priced in the market.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and product performance. Develop strategies to minimize excess stock while ensuring that customer demand is met effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in apparel management, preferably in the kids wear segment. Experience in market analysis, supplier management, and inventory control is essential.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
  • Attributes: Ability to work collaboratively with design teams and other departments. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
