ole Purpose:
The IT Quality and Testing Professional will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of software systems and digital platforms used to deliver consultancy, business support and educational services. The role focuses on designing and executing test strategies, identifying system defects and supporting continuous improvement of IT systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The post holder will be expected to:
Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
Perform functional, regression, system, integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Identify, document and track software defects using issue tracking tools.
Work closely with developers, business analysts and consultants to resolve technical issues.
Validate data accuracy, system security and process workflows for business and educational platforms.
Automate repetitive testing processes and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Produce test reports and quality metrics for management review.
Ensure systems comply with internal quality standards and industry best practices.
Support live system releases, post-deployment testing and performance monitoring.
Contribute to process improvements and quality assurance frameworks across the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required.
Essential:
Experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
Strong understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies and defect management.
Knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques.
Ability to analyse technical documentation and business process requirements.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG or similar).
Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman or similar).
Knowledge of database testing and basic SQL.
Experience working in consultancy or professional services environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB (foundation or higher) are desirable.
