Summary:

City Facilities Management UK is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Assistants for a contract role at ASDA Dundee Kirkton. The goal is to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-kept store environment, exceeding ASDA’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor general and fabric maintenance tasks, including planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly maintenance tasks, such as fire alarm call point tests, water temperature checks, and shower spray head cleaning.
  • Carry out the weekly store defrost programme and handle minor repairs in building fabric, plumbing, decorating, and joinery.
  • Complete various ad-hoc tasks within health, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements:

  • Practical skills and experience in a trade, with the ability to complete tasks correctly within a specified timeframe.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong self-motivation and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Basic IT skills (using tablets, Word, Excel, emails) are advantageous.
  • Full UK driver’s license required (for roles covering multiple stores).
  • Physically fit to handle lifting, moving heavy items, and using ladders.
